Joseph C. Booth
I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. Skipping past the boring early years of high school, my journey took me to Washington University in St. Louis, where my love for the figure was kindled and brought to the fore (thank you, Ms. Moore).
I moved on to try my hand as a comic book artist and attended the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon & Graphic Art (now known as the Kubert School), but found that, as much as I love comics, it is the figure I love most of all.
Since then, I've focused on freelance illustration and fine art. Currently, I am a graphic artist for a gaming company specializing in the gambling industry. I’ve also started contributing to a (what we used to call) fanzine, The Shadowed Circle. This is where I get to be a part of the world of the pulp sensation, The Shadow. I was Gallery Director for Gallery Interiors -- an art gallery / high-end furniture store my wife and I owned until we decided that 11 years was a good run.
In addition, I have been "running" the local life drawing co-op, The Black Hand Group, for the last 20+ years.
Creating art in various mediums has been, and remains, my passion.
